Be welcomed by off-road parking, making unpacking convenient, as you take in this beautiful arched wooden lodge made in an eye-catching contemporary style. Enter into the property to discover a domed ceiling, walls with wood panelling and a fantastic open-plan living area, ideal to cook, dine and relax with your significant other after a long day exploring the local countryside. Separated by a partition, there is a double bed, and you can soak the countryside chill from your skin in the shower-room before cosying down for the night. Outside, the lodge boasts a spectacular view of the rolling countryside from the private patio, an ideal spot to enjoy a cup of tea at the end of the day. Lodge 2 is settled into a remote area of Lockerbie, a wonderful location filled with many things to do, and you can stock up on essentials and enjoy a romantic meal for two from one of the selection of eateries available. Walks can be had in abundance, with Eskrigg Reserve, Castle Loch and the River Annan within easy reach, and the town even has its own ice rink and golf course! A visit to the charming Dumfries is a must, where you will find the ruins of Lincluden Collegiate Church, a local museum and Devorgilla Bridge crossing the picturesque river Nith, as well as a selection of eateries. Further from the property there is a number of fascinating historic sites including Drumlanrig Castle, Glenluce Abbey and Caerlaverock Castle, and from here a selection of beaches at Skinburness. We loved every single moment there! The views are just to die for. Lots of space for our dogs to run around outside too. The place was very well maintained, clean and cosy! Would highly recommend!
