We had a 4 night mid week break here, and the lodge was very quiet, set away from the main activities. ( there’s a steep hill to walk up to the site amenities), luckily we had a car. Location for getting around local area by car is very good (we didn’t use public transport so can’t comment). Lodge has everything you need to enjoy a self catering break. Would benefit from some garden chairs as it only had a picnic bench on the veranda and a general dust down of the cobwebs from the external veranda before arrrival ( appreciate this is a wooded area and lots of wildlife) Overall a pleasant stay, would return if we needed to be in the same area again.
