Unwind of an evening within the cosy sitting room, boasting a warming open fireplace and a large selection of books, perfect for those relaxing winter evenings. From here you will discover a well-equipped kitchen/diner, complete with all the necessities you will require during your stay. To appreciate the location further, you can visit the semi-ruined castle, Tantallon Castle which has breath-taking views of the Firth of Forth. Within a ten-mile radius there are magnificent beaches, four historic castles, more than ten golf courses, and facilities for just about every sport, including sailing, surfing, wakeboarding, riding and hang gliding. Alternatively, the city of Edinburgh is situated within a 40-minute drive of the property, where you can explore an abundance of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, in addition to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and tackling the Arthur's Seat hike. There is a half-hourly express bus from the village direct to Princes Street, Edinburgh. The village itself is unusual in having two pubs - both serving good food and only half a mile away. Great location for walking and visiting the many nice places in the area and also only 15 minutes to the village which had a small Co-op shop and 2 pubs that served food. The property is comfortable and in a very quiet secluded location. Has a nice patio area at the back so you could sit out there to eat or use the dining area, also a very well stocked library in the lounge area. Plenty of room to park.

Lovely, cosy lounge. The owners , who lived in the other side of the property, were welcoming and helpful but we still had lots of privacy during our stay.
