From the street, head through a timber gate and into a walkway before passing the pretty outdoor seating area, perfect for two guests to use near the shared entrance, before ascending stone steps to your private front door.

Retire to the master bedroom after a busy day, featuring an attractive armchair and a king-size bed, with a large dressing table and mirror, and a lovely view of the high street below, whilst the second bedroom boasts two single beds, which can be zipped/linked together to make a king-size bed. When you need anything from essentials to ingredients, simply step outside and discover the village's amenities on your doorstep, with a Post Office combined with a village delicatessen found opposite the flat, along with two local pubs, a bakery and a cafe.

A huge welcome pack was greatly received and my wife devoured all the fudge within a nanosecond. Neighbours were very friendly and we were made very welcome in the pub across the street and the hotel next door. Had a little bit trepidation before we came about the lack of street parking and having to park at the railway station up the street but need not have worried. Everyone parks there, including the locals. A very good holiday apartment and a very good holiday.

Every amenity you can think of contained there. Lots of interesting booklets about Aberdour and Fife in general. Castle close by, follow Shore Road down to the beach. Eateries nearby if you donât fancy cooking. Mobility issues like me? There is a set of stone stairs leading up to the front door, but they were doable. Although the sofa looked inviting, too low for me but I used the chair near the window and its shower over bath. We really enjoyed our week there, in large, high-ceilined room - light and airy and we felt at home straight away.
