Guests say

Mill Pond View receives glowing praise for its idyllic, tranquil setting and beautifully maintained accommodation. Guests consistently highlight the peaceful rural location, stunning views, and the comfort and cleanliness of the cottage. The hosts are frequently described as welcoming and helpful, with many guests noting thoughtful touches that made their stay special. While a few minor maintenance and cleanliness issues were mentioned, the overwhelming majority of reviews are highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the property spotlessly clean and well-presented, with only a couple of reviews mentioning minor issues such as dust on the extractor fan and some kitchenware needing re-washing. These were exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is widely praised as peaceful, scenic, and ideally situated for exploring Fife, St Andrews, and the surrounding countryside. Guests loved the rural setting, proximity to local villages, and beautiful views.

Guests frequently commented on the comfort of the beds, spaciousness, and relaxing atmosphere. A single review noted the sofa was a little worn and bedding thin, but the vast majority found the accommodation extremely comfortable.

The cottage is described as well-equipped, with everything needed for a self-catering stay. Appliances and amenities are generally praised, though there were isolated mentions of minor issues with the shower and washing machine, both quickly resolved.

Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, diffusers, and, on occasion, festive decorations and welcome gifts. While these gestures are warmly received, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Apartment excellent, views from lounge window & balcony beautiful. Watching birds at feeder outside bedroom window when we opened curtains in morning was great. A very spacious, very clean & very comfortable apartment. We had great weather for March & even managed to sit out on balcony on several days. The views of the mill pond & burn are stunning. Carl & Tricia have done a fantastic job on house & gardens! Best self catering house we have stayed in!

We had a good stay at Mill pond view. The whole apartment was a good standard and had absolutely everything you needed. Although everything seemed very clean at first there were a few points I noticed that needed attention. The most noticeable thing was the extractor fan in the bathroom was very thick with dust it did not seem to be working perhaps because of this. I also found the bedding to be thin, old and limp, I emphasize that it was clean though. The sofa in the lounge area was showing it's age, the cushions where you sit where misshapen and not as comfortable as I'm sure they once were. We saw virtually nothing of the hosts except meeting Carl when we arrived and once when he was walking his dogs. The area is beautiful and the situation idyllic and I'm sure that in the Summer it would be absolutely wonderful to sit on the small balcony and enjoy the wildlife.
