Lovely cottage in a lovely village, a few places to eat, within. 10-20 minute journey of a lot of sights and local food. One item I would recommend is the traditional folder with manuals for some of the equipment, guidance on what is expected with the towels / bedding / rubbish. Also a list of all local amenities, places to eat, convenience stores, etc etc

As a couple, we really enjoyed our weeks stay in Culross at this cottage. We visited Historic Houses Hopetoun House and National Trusts Falkland Palace, Culross Palace and Hill of Tarvit Mansion and enjoyed all. Our favourite day trip to St Andrews with the Town Walking Tour followed by a gentle amble. The Mercat (village cafe) had a small yet delicious menu which we sampled twice. The welcome basket was generous and much appreciated. The cleaning and bed linen were of a high standard. The parking is 1 dedicated space at the rear (with tight access for a 4x4) and one shared space at the front. We had taken eye masks in view of previous reviews about bedroom blinds and without these, it would have been tricky to sleep after 4am with day light flooding through the blinds. As a couple, it worked well for us yet felt tight for more than 4.

The cottage was really lovely, immaculately presented, comfortable and clean with everything we needed, including a very generous welcome pack. Culross is such an interesting place, the Palace is fascinating and the pub serves a wide variety of good value food. Dunfermline is not far away and has a range of shops and the Abbey is well worth a visit. Edinburgh can be reached easily by using the tram from Ingliston P&R which is around a 30 minute drive away. We spent a relaxed morning at RSPB Loch Leven where there are pleasant walks and we spotted red squirrels.
