Guests say

The Horsemill cottage in Kelty offers a spacious and comfortable stay, ideal for families and larger groups. Guests appreciate the property's beautiful location, warm atmosphere, and the host's exceptional hospitality. While some noted the need for a deep clean and updates, the overall experience is enhanced by the property's ample amenities and peaceful surroundings.

Guests have mentioned the presence of cobwebs and mould in the bathroom, indicating a need for a deeper clean. However, the overall cleanliness is deemed adequate by most.

The property is praised for its beautiful country hills location and proximity to local attractions. The walk up the hill behind the house and the accessibility to Edinburgh and the Kelpies are highlights.

The cottage is described as warm, spacious, and comfortable, particularly for families. The presence of three showers and comfortable bedrooms contributes to the comfort level.

Facilities are considered adequate with a special mention of the accessible bathroom and walk-in showers. However, some furnishings could use updating, and the kitchen may not be fully accessible for a full-time wheelchair user.

The host's thoughtfulness is highly commended, with instances of purchasing summer quilts during a heatwave and providing local health service advice. A range of family games and a book collection add to the thoughtful touches, though such personal gestures may vary and are not guaranteed.

This is a very well positioned (in beautiful country hills - the walk up the hill behind the house is amazing!), very well supplied, spacious, warm. Ideal for a larger family.

Great location for the walks around local Lochs, trip to the Kelpies and Edinburgh by car.Facilities adequate, little bit cobwebs in places. 3 showers really helpful. Not an ultra modern accommodation but good value and spacious when we had guests visit for the evening.

The house is lovely, and good for a family as it has 3 comfortable bedrooms. The property does feel like it needs a bit of tlc now and a deep clean. Lots of cobwebs and mould in bathroom showers, plus furnishings could do with updating. But the Host was lovely and welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble. Not sure if the property attracts more same sex groups who would probably see past the isues a family with young children would notice. Its out on a limb and no local shop within driving distance, plus a fair bit of fly tipping on the road that leads to the property is a bit off putting. Shame as the property has so much potential.
