Recently converted historic barn boasting modern amenities and a contemporary luxury feel in the heart of Fife, just 20 minutes from St Andrews and just over an hour to Edinburgh. Sleeping up to 10 guests in five spacious bedrooms with four bathrooms, this pet-friendly large holiday home is perfectly situated for weekend getaways or school holiday breaks whether you’re local to Scotland or plan to fly in from elsewhere. This holiday let is situated in rural farmland and can be used as overflow accommodation for the main house on the estate which sleeps 18 see.
It would make an ideal house to rent for guests attending wedding ceremonies in the main house, groups of friends and families, golfers, yoga groups, discerning stag and hen parties, people wishing to celebrate a milestone birthday and overseas visitors wishing to explore this part of Scotland.
The main reception room, a large sitting room with large picture windows overlooking the fields and woods, has plenty of comfortable seating, a TV and polished wooden floors. It is accessed from the kitchen via a small set of steps. In addition, a yoga studio/creative space on the ground floor has also been developed with picture windows and polished floors and can be accessed via an external side door. Yoga mats provided for guest use.
Access to the property is via the main porch up a few steps. This leads directly into a large open plan kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for groups with an electric double oven, six ring electric hob, fridge/freezer and a modern extendable dining table seating ten comfortably. Steps from the kitchen lead up into the sitting room.This rural property can only be accessed via a private drive meaning guests can be assured of privacy during their stay. The farmhouse is surrounded by fields, hills and mixed woodland. A patio has been built outside the barn to maximise opportunities for outdoor entertainment when the weather permits. Outdoor furniture and a BBQ are made available in the spring and summer months (or on request). The grounds are predominantly undulating lawn onto the field.
Located 45 miles northeast of Edinburgh and only 16 miles from St Andrews, makes this a wonderful spot to explore the East Neuk of Fife and the Home of Golf. No trip to Fife would be complete without having crossed the famous Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course, but there is so much more as well. For family entertainment, there is a local Deer Centre, and Deep Sea World is a great day out. Falkland Palace, Dunfermline Abbey and the historic buildings in St Andrews are all a must. Then there are the beaches, include Roome Bay at Crail, and the pretty harbour villages in Fife, plus easy access by train into Edinburgh for day trips.Cupar Stables is a natural blend of historic tradition and modern comfort.
