We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage very much - a good base to explore Ardnamurchan and Moidart. The garden was a delight, so many different rhododendrons and azaleas in bloom at the same time and beatiful bluebells. We had mixed weather and a bit more heating would have made the cottage more cosy. The bed was low but comfortable although a bigger (not thicker) duvet would have suited us better.

Beautiful quiet location, large grounds. Comfortable, great shower. WiFi good, all appliances fairly new. Could do with a hairdryer. Not sure why the open fire/wood burner was removed, but that would make a huge difference.

Lovely little cottage. Great for relaxing or walking the remote area and hills. Singing sands is a nice walk just over 6.5 mile total along a forestry track. The shop in the village is well stocked although expensive (putting back into the community so wasn’t bothered). We took two young children which was great as they were able to go play in the secure garden, but there’s not much for young children to do in the area if used to city life. Only downside is that the cottage is slightly damp, mostly in the bedrooms. Clothes and bedding need the heating on to take the dampness off and smell away. It could do with a kitchen extractor fan as when cooking the smoke alarms go off easily. An outdoor sheltered area would be nice to sit out and enjoy the view but would definitely go back.
