Tamarchan Lodge is hidden away nestled into the mountains and forest at the end of secluded private road, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, yet is located only a short distance from Ballachulish village.
This truly stunning property is ideal for larger groups and families to enjoy the fresh highland air and ideally set up to make the most of the views, with decking and seating areas all around the property. Cosily heated with oil central heating, there’s loads of living space downstairs which ensures that you’ll have a relaxing, sociable holiday with the benefit of great connectivity from Wi-Fi and the Smart TV. There are five bedrooms, sleeping nine people on great quality, comfy beds, thoughtfully providing ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms. The Lodge opens on to decking where guests can enjoy the spectacular views. The large garden has plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air, a barbeque area, and other garden seating.
Ballachulish is a lovely Highland village with many amenities including a Supermarket (open till 10 seven days a week), tourist information centre with coffee shop, restaurant, patisserie and doctors. The wider area boasts many restaurants, cafés and pubs, all serving good, local food. It’s close to historic scenic Glencoe and surrounded by the most breath-taking scenery of mountains and lochs. This area is renowned for its outdoor pursuits and offers a large range of sports and outdoor activities, including winter sports, hill walking, climbing, mountaineering, fishing and water sports, mountain biking and golfing. Both Glencoe Mountain Resort and Fort William, known as the ‘Outdoor capital of the UK’, are only a short drive. Travel on the West Highland Steam Train (as depicted in the Harry Potter movie) to Mallaig, crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, or visit some of the unspoilt beaches, castles, museums, and distilleries. Boat trips to the inner isles including Mull and Iona are easily accessible or take a day exploring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Oban, Loch Ness and the Isles of Skye and Mull are all within easy reach. Beach 10 miles.
