The remoteness of the cottage (be prepared to drive up a track), it was so peaceful. Good value for the price. The nature around you, the sheep visitors to the garden, the toadstools and fungus growing in the garden. The stream next to the cottage. Interior is fairly basic, but reminded me of grandparents and had most things you needed. Great book collection available to read, if you have time to take advantage - we were too busy going out on long day trips.
