This wonderful family home boasts stunning views over the estuary. From the elevated first floor lounge, you can watch the River Brora run into the North Sea, an unforgettable waterside view in the rugged Highlands. This functional home is perfect for family groups, offering two family rooms that are ideal for parents and young children, and plenty of space both indoors and outdoors ensures a comfortable stay for eight guests.
This cottage has been decorated throughout as a homely place to stay. Traditional country furniture, patterned soft furnishings and unique artwork add to the overall character of the place, but the cosy lived-in style ensures you feel instantly at home. The decor is primarily made up of clean whites and bright pastel shades, giving the property a light and airy feel and fitting in perfectly to its seaside surroundings.
Enter via the ground floor and find yourself instantly in the spacious kitchen. This room offers French doors that open out onto a sea view, allowing you to let a fresh sea breeze flow in on a warm day and still ensuring a pretty view even on colder days. Sit down to a casual breakfast or lunch at the kitchen table or make use of the space to pack a picnic for the day ahead. Evening meals can be enjoyed together in the dedicated dining room, which is equipped with a sociable round table. Two of the bedrooms can be found here on the ground floor, including one versatile family room sleeping three guests, ideal for a family with a young child.
Head upstairs to the first floor for an enjoyable space to relax. Putting the lounge on the first floor ensures wonderful sea views, creating a calming spot to unwind with a good book or sit down to a board game as a family. You may prefer to simply crash on the sofa and watch a DVD, energising for the day ahead. The remaining two twin bedrooms are here on the first floor and have unique vaulted ceilings.
The garden can be found to the front of the property, accessible via the French door leading off the kitchen. Partly set to lawn and partly patio, this enclosed space is ideal for children to play. Relax on the lawn or dine alfresco at the picnic table. Be sure to find time for a BBQ throughout your stay, with the sound of waves and smell of sea salt filling the air around you. Those here on a sporting holiday can store equipment in the lockable garden shed.
