Rowan Tree House is an inviting, semi-detached, stone-built holiday home, resting in the beautiful coastal village of Brora in the Scottish Highlands. Pull up at the property and unload your bags with ease, thanks to the handy off-road parking spaces. Step into your new home-from-home, starting with the sitting room, home to a Smart TV and woodburning stove you won't be able to resist gathering around in the evenings. From here, find the kitchen, stocked with an electric cooker and a dishwasher - an essential so you don't have to wash up whilst on holiday! Moving through the home, the dining room provides a space to catch up with your loved ones while the open fire roars, or perhaps you prefer to spend your evenings here, with a book from the library. As eyes grow tired, climb the stairs and choose from a king-size or a twin room, but not before freshening up in the bathroom. Your four-legged friends will not be left out at Rowan Tree House, with supplies to keep your pooches happy and that all-important enclosed garden to the rear where they can stretch their legs. When you're ready to explore, make the most of your location with a walk around the picture-perfect village of Brora, home to wildlife on both land and sea, such as dolphins and deer. Take your furry friends and children for a roam along the beach, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can discover the famous North Coast 500 route. Venture further on two wheels, with plenty of opportunity for cyclists from the doorstep, or alternatively, set off in the car to find even more charming towns and villages such as the iconic John o’Groats. A trip to Scotland would not be complete without a round of golf and a day trip to a whiskey distillery, and to say you'll be spoilt for choice in this area is an understatement. For the history buffs amongst your group, you'll find a wealth of historical landmarks and monuments within reach, including castles and monuments, each set within the stunning and varied landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Make memories that will last a lifetime at Rowan Tree House.
Brora is a village in the east of Sutherland in the Highlands of Scotland located between Dornoch and Wick. It has a small harbour and attractive sandy beaches and thanks to being completely unspoilt the area boasts an impressive selection of wild and bird life making it something of a mecca for animal enthusiasts who report regular sightings of dolphins, seals and whales. It also is a great base for exploring a number of well-known golf courses in the area including Brora Golf Course and a short drive away, the Royal Dornoch Golf Course. The town also boasts Clynelish Distillery so why not book a tour and enjoy a wee dram? While you are in Brora you can stock up on some shopping essentials, browse around the small selection of shops, enjoy a relaxing drink in the pub or sit down to a delicious meal in a restaurant. A short drive from Brora is the captivating Loch Brora which is the ideal spot to stop off for a picnic and you might even spot some deer while you’re there so keep an eye out and have your camera ready!

The property is situated in a quiet street within a short distance from the beach and the village centre. The house itself is nicely decorated, clean and has a wonderful garden. It feels very welcoming. We greatly enjoyed being there with our two dogs. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing. On arrival Brora with his traditional houses gave us immediately a good feeling. Heritage Centre is an interesting place to visit. Lovely walks and cycling is like heaven. Had a delicious meal at the Indian restaurant. Hope to to come back to this beautiful part of Scotland next year.

Well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Garden was a delight and reassuringly secure for our two dogs. Property well-situated to enjoy Brora and surrounding Sutherland. Highly recommended.
