This was the perfect house and location for our extended family holiday. Wonderful walks right from the front door, and hundreds more within a short drive. Great pub, shop and park right round the corner too!

Our stay at Rowan Cottage was excellent; it is roomy, comfortable, quiet and has a fairly large nature friendly garden that attracts many birds from the nearby wood (the garden is also well fenced to ensure security for young children and dogs). My wife was competing in the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Championship in Carr-Bridge for the second year running (spurtle is a stick for stirring porridge). This is an amazing, lively, entertaining event, literally attracting spurtle wielding competitors and spectators from across the world, including places as far afield as Australia and Alaska . The cottage was a ideal base, within easy walking distance of the competition, as well as other village attractions, and a perfect place to relax before and after the competition. It is also a great base for walking in the Cairngorms, golf, visiting the multitude of places of interest in the wider area and travel by car, bus or train to Inverness. We loved the cottage as it is and look forward to returning.
