This pretty detached single storey cottage is set in its own grounds at the end of the Achnacarnin township road on the Stoer Peninsula - one of the most breathtaking beautiful locations on the renowned north west coast of Scotland. With views across the sea to the Assynt Mountains beyond, this cottage has been built to maximise its idyllic location.
Whilst it is a modern property, the main living area takes its inspiration from a traditional croft house and byre, with high ceilings and wood burning stove, surrounded by Caithness stone. The Gaelic name translates at The Green House; this alludes not only to the outside paintwork, but also to its eco friendly green credentials with a heat pump supplying heat and hot water, which was pretty innovative when it was built. Shops, pub and restaurant 8 miles.
The laundry service picks up on Thursday mornings. They don't need to see you or come into the house as they collect from a separate place, but it can be a shock to see someone walk past the window in the early morning so we thought we'd warn you.

The house is in a beautiful location with gorgeous views. It's on a small lane off a singe track road, so don't be in a hurry to get anywhere! The house has everything you need for a lovely stay. The underfloor heating, plus a wood burning stove if needed make the house very cosy. The scenery around the house is stunning. The beaches are glorious and the wildlife is plentiful.
