We have already re-booked for next year and have stayed here previously. Kayaking from the property is a great family experience, amongst the seals who are frequently visible from the kitchen window (and their cries are often audible including at night). Although the floors/surfaces were clean there were quite a few cobwebs on the walls/ceilings and the tumble drier frequently stopped/needed restarting before clothes dried. Any grumbles were minor issues compared to the overall exceptionally positive experience.

You don’t need to bring much at all, the house has lots of games, an abundance of great books and every kitchen utensil you could ever need. The shower and bath are amazing and the beds are super comfortable. After a busy day kayaking, paddle boarding , hiking and sightseeing we would return to a lovely lounge and play games while watching the seals from our window. What else could you ask for. We hope to return some day. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovey home.

The shower, unfortunately, was not working and we all had to share the bath but the owner dealt with this for us in a prompt and efficient manner. We enjoyed walks to the bay nearby and were enthralled to see the seals joining us one by one until there were 17 of them inquisitively watching us from the water. Be aware if you have a dog that the garden at the rear is not enclosed and sheep are regular visitors into the grounds. All in all a great house in a very remote last wilderness in northern Scotland.
