Glen Dessary is a well-regarded holiday lodge, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and friendly owners. Guests appreciate the comfortable and homely atmosphere, with many finding it an ideal base for exploring Fort William and the Western Isles. The presence of animals adds to the charm, though some guests noted the basic facilities and the coin meter for electricity as drawbacks.
The majority of guests have reported the lodge to be immaculate and very clean, suggesting high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
The lodge is frequently described as peaceful and well-situated for local amenities and exploring the area, with beautiful views and a quiet setting.
Many guests found the accommodation comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a homely feel, although a few had concerns about heating and the coin meter system.
Facilities generally met guests' needs, but some found them basic and there were comments about the lack of certain amenities like a dishwasher and central heating.
While the reviews reflect positively on the owners' hospitality, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be guaranteed for future guests.

As promised, the keys were in the door, and our surname was on the window. The meter showed £7.13. We had a marvellous few days here. The whole area is spectacular. Glen Dessary was always welcoming when we returned. Despite cooking on several nights, have a bath, several showers, lights on, TV on, charging various devices, we failed to use all the credit. Admittedly, we don't like where we live to be too warm, but it was certainly warm enough for us. All in all, we had a great time here and would happily come back.

You obviously either didnât record this holiday, or just didnât listen. If it hadnât been for extremely helpful chap who lived at the same location, weâd have been travelling back another 8 hour drive. He managed to get in touch with the owners, who organised a cleaner so that we could stay in the property. We tried to contact you on multiple occasions on the Saturday, all ending in failure, and to top it off, you didnât even return our calls when we selected a call back. Shocking service, and I wonât be using or recommending Sykes Cottages again.

Perfect base for exploring the area. It has all the essentials, as listed in the booking info. The area is quiet, which was lovely. The animals are an added bonus, it was lovely to see the dogs after a 5 year gap. We can't wait to visit again.
