Glen Dessary is a well-regarded holiday lodge, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and friendly owners. Guests enjoy the comfortable accommodations, the presence of animals, and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. While some find the facilities basic and the coin meter for electricity a nuisance, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning that it is 'immaculately clean' and 'well presented'. The attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' comfort and satisfaction.
The location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and ideally placed for exploring the local area. Its proximity to Fort William and scenic views, including Ben Nevis, are appreciated by guests, enhancing the overall experience.
Comfort is highlighted in several reviews, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the lodge spacious. However, some guests mention the property being cold at night and the need for £1 coins for the electricity meter, which slightly affects the comfort score.
Facilities are generally seen as adequate, with the lodge providing a good base for activities. Some guests note the lack of a dishwasher and central heating, and the coin-operated electricity meter as drawbacks, indicating room for improvement in this category.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the owners in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness category accurately. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Some really nice walks straight from the door and some serious hiking to be done nearby. Iâm going to miss saying hello to Bambi, the pet deer, every morning. Heâs like a giant puppy! The boys also loved playing with the dogs that live on site

We had a brilliant time here. The weather was excellent and the Fort William Downhill MTB track is very close and very fast. We enjoyed !!!

All facilities in the property were good (except one draw handle) and we were very comfortable. We loved the wildlife, chickens, dogs and the deer.
