About this property

Nestled near the white dune sands of Morar, this ground-floor family-friendly traditional cottage is a short distance from the port town of Mallaig, Scotland and the beach is just 60 steps from the back gate. Stepping through the cottage, you will find a welcoming entrance port suitable for storing smaller luggage, kicking off your shoes, and hanging up your coats when you return home from your adventures. Through the hallway, you will find two homely bedrooms for when the night draws to a close on another fun-packed day, including a small, homely queen-sized bedroom with wardrobe space, and a good-sized twin bedroom with ample storage space, ideal for younger guests. The property features a traditional, rustic sitting room with a TV, a selection of DVDs, books, games, and a pleasing woodburning stove, the perfect space to cosy up on those chillier nights with a warm drink, family board game or a good book. Ahead of the sitting room, you'll find a traditional style, functional kitchen which is amply equipped, including a oven, hobs, fridge, dishwasher, washing and drying machine, and dining seating for four. Situated next to this through a separate hallway is a family bathroom, complete with a large walk in shower, WC, and hand basin, and a back door that leads out to a small private patio area with access to the superb adjacent white sand beach with a river that flows through. Whether you're visiting Morar's fine white sandy beaches and clear waters, taking in panoramic views across the Loch Moor and Inner Hebrides, or catching a ferry from the neighbouring port town of Mallaig to sail to the islands of Rum or Eigg, this property is in a prime location and makes for an unforgettable family trip! The bustling fishing and ferry port town of Mallaig is an ideal base to visit the Isle of Skye by ferry. The town also offers all your amenities and a full range of shops and restaurants to choose from, as well as a visitor centre and a Heritage Centre, for those wishing to uncover the town's interesting historic roots. Make 2 Tougal your next family getaway and explore what this remarkable region of Scotland has to offer. EPC Rating: Band F
