Park up right outside the property and admire its whitewashed and stone exposed exterior, with the property dating back to 1850, it offers an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional charm to bring you the very best on a stay in Scotland. Step inside the spacious hallway of the main house, with plenty of space to store walking gear galore, and make your way into the kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a family favourite feast while the woodburning stove warms you up after a day of adventure. Gather all together around the dining table beneath the rustic wooden beams lining the ceiling, while up two steps the chef of the group can make the most of the high-quality appliances at hand. Carry your conversations through to the sitting room where you can find a second woodburning stove sitting within a stone built inglenook, with tasteful soft furnishings to relax on, or spend a moment to yourself within the bright and airy conservatory, a sunny spot to enjoy a good book. Drumnadrochit is a lovely village lying at the head of Urquhart Bay on the shore of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. The village hosts a selection of amenities such as a local shop, Post Office, cafés, pubs, restaurants and even the Loch Ness Monster exhibition! The Great Glen Way runs through the village leading you all the way to Fort William, while Inverness, Culloden Moor and plenty more await to be discovered too.

    However, during our stay, the property had no vehicular access for 50% of the holiday. This was due to planned groundworks, which we were not told about. Had we known that it was such a long walk from where a vehicle could be left, we would not have booked this property. We also had no broadband for 50% of the stay, which didn't help. In summary Dunollie House is a charming property, but no good if you need to use a car.

    Was equipped with everything we needed, the kitchen was huge. We had such a lovely family holiday, celebrating mum's 60th birthday at Dunollie House. Garden was beautiful, my son had plenty of space to running around and play football. The house has plenty of board games which we enjoyed, especially bird bingo and Disney monopoly
