Ardersier is a delightful village with plenty to offer visitors. Just a short drive away is Fort George, this 18th-century fortress offers a fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s military history. Visit Culloden Battlefield, where the Jacobite Rising came to a tragic end. The visitor centre provides an immersive experience, bringing history to life. A must-visit for nature lovers is Chanonry Point, one of the best spots in the UK to see bottlenose dolphins.
Just a short drive away, the city of Inverness offers a range of attractions, including Inverness Castle, the River Ness, and a variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural activities. To the east discover the rich heritage of Scotland’s whisky production by visiting some of the renowned distilleries in the region. What a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. The wee blue hoose is just perfect. It felt like a home from home and the layout is perfect to be sociable but also have some privacy and space. Restful but with easy acces to lots of amazing beaches and historic attractions. Just a short, scenic walk to Fort George and with a view over the water to Chanonry Point. The cottage was spotles and the owner communicated brilliantly about a small isue which theyd put a solution in place for before our arrival. Only very slight downside was communication with the large organisation Cottages. Whilst all went seamlesly I had mesaged before booking with some queries about the local area but never received a response. It did leave me wondering if wed receive a response if something went wrong. Thankfully I already knew the area fairly well so booked anyway. Ultimately though - wonderful, wonderful experience! Would highly recommend.
