A Perfect Stay in a Hidden GemRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)We have absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage—it is a true hidden gem and even better than the pictures online! The cottage itself is incredibly comfortable and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. From the moment we arrived, we were in complete awe of the breath-taking views and scenery. The local wildlife made our trip truly unforgettable. We were fortunate enough to spot a spectacular group of red deer, including several magnificent stags and females. Later in the week, we watched otters playing in the water, and after a short walk down to the old port just beyond the Spar shop, we were treated to the magical sight of a pod of bottlenose dolphins, complete with juveniles and calves. The nearby beaches at Oldshoremore and Polin are absolutely incredible, boasting pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather, enjoying glorious sunshine, clear blue skies, and even a spectacular 25-degree day!Our host, Cathel, was absolutely lovely. He popped in on our second day just to introduce himself and let us know he was available if we needed anything. During our stay, we had a slight, unexpected hiccup with the oven and cooker hob. Cathel handled the situation amazingly; he came over immediately to take a look, apologised sincerely, and had an electrician sorted in no time. These things happen, but the speed, care, and professionalism with which he resolved it was outstanding.Thank you, Cathel, for your wonderful hospitality. We are so incredibly happy to have found this beautiful place and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Lovely cottage. Stunning views. Comfortable and warm. Internet was an unexpected bonus . Local Spar is well stocked for essentials. Good communication with owners. Lovely short walk to the loch side from the cottage. Felt like your own little beach. We saw deer and heron from the cottage. Would recommend.
