Fishing enthusiasts will love this idyllic cottage, with sea fishing from nearby rocks, and slipway for visitors boats for loch fishing.. With splendid views of the Five Sisters of Kintail and Loch Duich, these three very comfortable, single-storey cottages are ideally placed for touring north-west Scotland and the Isle of Skye, making this an ideal holiday location for walkers and mountain climbers. Furnished and equipped to 4*, each has its own garden where a resident pine marten visits all three properties, and a slipway is available for visitor’s boats. Abundant wildlife, such as seals, porpoises and otters can be seen in the loch. All three properties have a wildlife observation hide at the water’s edge. Good sea fishing can be enjoyed from nearby rocks. Kyle (12 miles) has shops, a good seafood restaurant and the bridge to Skye. Further up the loch lies Dornie, with access to the dramatic Falls of Glomach. Shop 200 to 300 yards, pub nearby.. All on the

We had a wonderful stay at Waterside and would highly recommend it. The cottage’s distinctive green roof helps it blend beautifully into the surrounding landscape and the views over the loch and hills are simply breathtaking. Lachie and Etta gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and made us feel at home straight away. It was also a lovely touch to find some homemade shortbread biscuits waiting for us, which were absolutely delicious. The cottage is privately situated on the site, allowing us to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings completely undisturbed. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a real home from home. The cottage had all the essentials and was both cosy and functional. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, with plenty of utensils, cookware, and everything we needed to prepare meals throughout our stay.The location was perfect for exploring the area. During our visit, we enjoyed walking part of the Kintail Way, explored the local Eilean Donan Castle, and spent time on the Isle of Skye. We also took the ferry to the Isle of Raasay, where we enjoyed a visit to the distillery.After busy days exploring the Highlands, it was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable and welcoming cottage. Waterside combines stunning scenery, thoughtful design, privacy, and an excellent location, making it an ideal base for a Highland getaway.

Highly recommend. Great for a couple or family with a young child. Absolutely stunning location. Hosts are warm and welcoming and looked after our well being. Usually self catering comes with empty kitchen pantry. Not this one. Hosts ensured kitchen was stacked with basics - Milk, Coffee, Condiments and an extra touch with short breads.We will come again.
