No smoking.. The Big Hoose is set in a stunning location elevated with spectacular views over countryside. The property has been lovingly furnished with your comfort in mind and will be sure to expectations of any guest. You are welcomed by the double-height reception hall with a stunning piano. There is a large, well-equipped kitchen/dining room, as well as a utility room. Within the centre of the house is a games room as well as a living room with comfortable seating all wrapped around a large wood burner, as well as with French doors leading onto the decking. Out side there is ample parking to the front and a large fully enclosed rear garden which is ideal for children and your four-legged friends. Sitting on the decking is the perfect spot to sit back and relax after a day exploring all the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Beach 21 miles. Shop 23 miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.

The photos are old! Previous reviews mentioned the place is looking tired and somewhat dilapidated and unfortunately that has been our experience. The house is in a beautiful location. The views are stunning. The lack of cleanliness and attention to detail spoil the holiday experience. We found a broken sofa, held up with a large block of wood it was very stained, covered in dog hairs in games room. Pool table held up with scraps of wood, felt is ripped in many places, my husband spent 10 mins adjusting the leg and now it's fine. That should have already been done. Lots of games but nothing complete. Xbox controllers don't work, that should be deleted from details. Sofas in lounge, red one is so worn out it's sagging. Very uncomfortable. Blue button sofas have dirt and crumbs in the button detail, dirty throw cushions. Beds are old sprung mattresses; very uncomfortable (3 beds were used, all 3 were uncomfortable) visible hair/dust collected on the bedframe of master. Seen as the mattress doesn't meet the frame, I didn't hunt for filth I saw it easily.The house felt like someone had moved out and left their unwanted broken bits behind. It needs TLC. The house was always warm, the sundries are ample. The space is really nice with children and a dog. Unfortunately the levels must have been off in the hot tub as we all developed hot tub rash (folliculitis). Messaged owner but no response. The hoover canister was full, I wanted to use it to improve the situation, I emptied it only to find it lack suction (it probably needed filters cleaning but I didn't see why I should do that). The owner brought out a new hoover on day 3, no apology though. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this property.

Wow, what a location! The house is beautiful, spacious & comfortable. Plenty of room for 8 (although we were only 5) with loads of comfy sofas & seating for dining.Could do with more seating outside to enjoy the views, and larger dishes/casserole dishes for cooking (we catered for ourselves rather than go out to eat).Some decor a bit tired, but it didn't detract from a lovely stay. Met the owner too & she is really lovely.Would have been great if the piano had been in tune as we had a musician in our party & had been looking forward to hearing him play.Hot tub great fun! Would book again 😊
