Located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, this tastefully presented detached cottage combines contemporary accommodation with traditional style. Situated adjacent to the owner's home in the highland village of Newtonmore, this cottage will suit a family or group of friends who perhaps want to take full advantage of the diverse choice of outdoor activities available to them in this fabulous area. There are four delightful bedrooms, with a twin on the ground floor, and on the first floor there is a king-size double with en-suite shower room, another twin room and a double room with walk-in wardrobe. In addition to the en-suite shower room, there is a bathroom upstairs and a large shower room on the ground floor, along with a separate cloakroom.
The social hub is the large open plan living area consisting of a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area, where you will find a warming woodburning stove and leather settees. To the front and the side of the house is a private garden with a patio area and outside furniture allowing for alfresco dining or pre dinner drinks. The centre of Newtonmore is just a few minutes' walk away and offers great shopping and dining out facilities. The cottage is adjacent to Newtonmore golf course which welcomes visitors. This area offers so much for the visitor, so whether you choose to ski, walk, cycle, birdwatch or simply tour this magnificent area, you will enjoy your holiday and most certainly love this cottage.
This is an excellent cottage for family holidays, with so much to see and do in the area.

It had everything we could have needed, as well as an extensive welcome pack, and all the family would love to return. With Patsy being a very helpful and welcoming owner, it was indeed "a home from home".

The interior is spacious and well presented with oak style flooring throughout and an extremely well stocked kitchen of cooking equipment. We felt there was limited cooking preparation surface... but who wants to cook when you are on holiday! There is a down stairs twin bedroom with shower room /toilet .. for those who cannot climb the stairs however the shower is quite large and for me I feel there should be one if not two hand rails to aid stability and reduce the risk of slipping, even though a small shower mat is provided. Overall it is a great place to stay and you will want for nothing here or in the local area.....even a small supermarket in the village.
