The area has much to offer in archaeology sites, all close by including Dun Beag Broch, St John’s Chapel, Feorlig chambered cairns, as well as historic Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, Giant Macaskill Museum, and coral beaches are only a short drive away. It is a good base to explore all parts of the island which has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast; hill walking, fishing, boat trips, kayaking, pony trekking as well as the opportunity to discover the many craft/art galleries for a more relaxing time and to be awestruck by the dramatic scenery, so come and enjoy! Amazing location, peaceful and not too far a drive to local amenities. Property its self is amazing, very comfortable, loads of room for large gatherings. Everything you need for a perfect getaway right there

We booked Hygge at short notice after being let down by the owners of a different cottage. Hygge was far from a consolation prize! Ralph and Kate appear to take the comfort of their guests personally with all of the touches inside the house. From the wide window at the rear taking in the view of shore to the well equipped kitchen to the games and DVDs in the lounge. The weather in Skye can be unpredictable and they've thought of comfort for all weathers. The EV charging point was also a bonus. The contact phone call with Ralph was warm and friendly, with lots of suggestions from Ralph about where to go and what to see, and not to hesitate in contacting him if there was an issue. We were completely at home for the time we stayed there, comfortable and cozy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hygge and we hope to return at some point in the near future. Top tier find!

Beautiful house, stunning views. The weather let us down on our week here, but Hygge was such a cosy, beautiful house to relax in, we still had a great week. We were a family of four and there was loads of space for all of us. Very well kitted out indeed, including an EV charger, which was brilliant. Lots of thoughtful extras including books and lots of board games.We saw sea eagles from the house (several times), hen harriers lots of times, a golden eagle on our way up up to the house, and the seals, of course. Would definitely come back.
