Hirta, was lovely but the sofa was uncomfortable and the noise from upstairs was unbearable at times, we understood it was kids but I’m sure the parents could have stopped them from jumping off furniture and banging about it did make the holiday less calming and quiet. The flat was nice and had everything that we needed and Sophia was brillant at keeping us updated with information.Overall Plockton is beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking at times. Just a shame about noise

Ideally situated, in pretty loch side village with couple of very good food and drinks places. Handy little shop with takeaway snacks and gorgeous ice creams. Cottage has all amenities we required up to a good standard. It's best to take your daily essentials, eg bread milk cereals fruit, although Kyle is not so far away for food shopping. Easy to visit Isle of Skye for a day trip,

We had a wonderful week at Hirta. We primarily used the cottage as a base for visiting Skye. The bench by the bay was also a lovely spot. The cottage itself is a bit dated, but well-maintained and equipped with everything we needed. At times, however, it was extremely noisy due to the stomping of the upstairs neighbors. A special thank you to Sofia, who manages the cottage.
