Uig 1.5 miles. This lovely upper floor self-contained apartment is situated to the rear of the owners home, close to the village of Uig, on the Isle of Skye. With a garden to the front that borders the seashore, this welcoming apartment provides cosy, well-equipped accommodation thats ideal for a family or group of friends who will just love the convenience and views on offer here. You enter into a ground floor hall with stairs leading to the spacious first floor accommodation. There are three generously proportioned bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and the open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared and enjoyed together around the large table. This room also has a small seating area and a clever window design that can be opened up on warm days to form a small balcony from which the fresh sea air can flood in. Uig is a pretty friendly village with good local services and from here guests can explore on foot or take the car up the hill and around the famous 'hairpin bend' continuing on a tour of the Trotternish Peninsula with its rugged coastline and amazing wildlife. The island is deceptively large with a big coastline and there are lots of villages, castles and coves to be explored. At the end of a busy day why not take advantage of the lovely garden with its strategically placed seating areas looking right out to sea? Watch the ferry as it crosses between the islands and perhaps take a trip to the Western Isles yourself! A delightful apartment to call home with so much to see and do within this part of the island. This property is near to Ref 12666, together they sleep 12.

Hosts were great and very amenable - they even left us with some delicious home baking! Would very much recommend this as a place to stay in Skye!

A nice bonus was a lemon cake to have with our tea when we first rolled in. We had a lovely time and will be singing the praises to everyone.

I wish we had planned to stay longer. It is the upstairs apartment of the home that manages the campground, so one has access to the camp washer (and dryer!). The couple running the campground are delightful and gifted us with the most delicious lemon drizzle cake!
