We had a fantastic stay! Ann was kind enough to stay up late after our flight was delayed to guide us into the property (we were unsure how easy the cottage would be to identify in the dark but it was literally the only building on the left driving westward). We had a warm welcome and a lovely hamper. The house was warm and there is everything you could possibly need e.g. 2 hair dryers, hoover, blender, books, magazines, toys for young children, high chair, cot, etc. There are also two parking spaces on the drive for guests.Just 5 minute westwards on foot, there's a 16 km hiking trail to Torridon. We just walked for the morning with a 3 year old and 5 year old which they did comfortably. Great views! There's a small village just a 10-minute drive down the road where, there's a small supermarket, post office, café and a hotel pub/restaurant. There's another pub/restaurant at Strathcarron train station. We did a proper shop in a big supermarket in Inverness on the way there and popped into the local shop for smaller bits. This was the right choice for choice and our budget. If the sky clears, go out in the back garden at night and look at the stars. Just amazing! The hamlet has maybe 4 houses and it's all countryside so great for stargazing.Considering the wet weather, this property was perfect for us. Our 3 children (1, 3 and 5) were very happy to stay in and play with the new toys, they had plenty of space so even when we couldn't get out it was a relaxing day.Ann is a warm host and happy to help.10 out of 10. We're already planning our next visit!

We had such a lovely 7 night stay. Ann the host was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage has everything you need and more. An amazing generous welcome basket was delicious. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The location was stunning with the mountains and the peaceful location to the back of the cottage. You don't really notice the road much to the front. We couldn't ask for a better stay. We didn't want to leave. Perfect escape and base to explore the Scottish Highlands. Thank you so much 😊
