This is such a beautiful cottage in a wonderful picturesque location overlooking the sea and mountains. We found it clean and tidy on our arrival ; I was a little worried following the last review BUT there was absolutely no need to be..The owner was very easily contactable and very kind and helpful. The traditional features in the cottage are gorgeous and every room tastefully furnished, all the rooms looks out over the sea and islands, absolutely stunning !!!! Such a wonderful relaxing place to be, we'll be back, thank you.

Excellent location but so disappointed on arrival to find the cottage had not been cleaned adequately. Looked as though it had been vacuumed but the kitchen surfaces, cupboards, [the doors and handles were filthy], table and chairs/fridge all had to be cleaned by us on arrival. Similarly the bathroom, the sink had toothpaste remains and the toilet had hairs on and around the seat. There was no toilet roll holder and no Highland bodywash/shampoo was provided as listed. The living room had a fusty smell and the sofas under the throws are in need of a clean. The bedroom was quite dusty. Also no hanging space, only drawers. Someone had left an open blister pack of Paracetamol on the kitchen mantelpiece. Seemed to be lacking in instruction manuals and no info re bins. Worryingly, the window in the kitchen dropped down one evening as there weren't any window catches but luckily we were in. I'm sure Applecross is a safe neighbourhood but still rather unsettling. Such a shame as the location/views are outstanding but after a long journey you shouldn't have to start cleaning the accommodation and not the best start to a holiday booked for a Wedding Anniversary.
