Thorsvik is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, wildlife encounters, and tranquil location. Guests appreciate its spaciousness, homely feel, and the variety of activities it supports. While some minor maintenance issues and the challenging access road are noted, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.
Most guests found Thorsvik to be clean and well-kept, with a few noting areas for improvement such as dust and a damp smell in some rooms. The majority of comments, however, reflect a satisfactory level of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and peacefulness, contributing to a unique and memorable experience. The remote setting and wildlife are consistently highlighted as exceptional features.
Guests find the house cosy and comfortable, with ample space and a homely atmosphere. Some guests mentioned the need for updating mattresses and pillows, but overall, the comfort level is well-regarded.
The property is appreciated for its well-equipped nature and thoughtful layout. However, some guests noted issues with heating control, dated decor, and the need for maintenance, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and upkeep.
While guests express a sense of feeling at home and mention the property's well-stocked nature, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

It feels like a second home - cosy, comfortable, spectacular views, a great location, plenty of space for all 6 of us and full of lots of interesting books and games. We love to go out all day exploring and come back to Thorsvik for a cosy meal together.

Strange things were happening all week but by the end of the week we realised we were not alone. Didn't bother us though. The settee's need to be changed. One thing I will say is that you need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads not a camper vehicle they are too big and no one can pass them

Such a unique location with the most stunning views. Sleat didn't disappoint on my 5th trip now to Skye. Sea eagles, deer & sheep in & around the garden every other day. I'll even miss the wee road in & opening the gate. All 5 of us were so at home. Would happily book again. Thank you, Karin x
