Be welcomed by stunning scenery and the sound of a peaceful river running by as you park off-road and unpack with ease, admiring the dramatic backdrop of trees and wilderness this property has to offer. Once inside, make yourself at home in a wonderful sitting/dining room, where French windows open up onto the garden and create a wonderful airy feeling to this space, with two reclining leather sofas and a tartan armchair encouraging you to relax with a cup of tea and plan the day ahead of you beside the woodburning stove, or enjoy a meal together at the dining table. When it comes to cooking, this property has it all, with a great contemporary kitchen with wooden flooring and enough space to allow guests to enjoy cooking together. Venture up the stairs to find two super-king-size bedrooms with wonderful blue décor, additional seating and a view across the countryside, and each with a stunning contemporary en-suite shower room where you will simply love soaking the chill from your skin. Outside, a seating area creates a bubble of calm amongst dramatic scenery, where dining alfresco will be a must. The Isle of Skye is an incredible destination, and with your stay at Falls Cottage, you will have easy access to the nearby town of Uig, Prortree, where pubs and convenience stores can be found, as well as local craft and produce shops, and there is also the option of visiting the wonderful Skye Brewery a little further afield. Head further into the wilderness to find a simply breath-taking variety of walks, including historical sites such as Caisteal Ùisdein, scenic walks at Trotternish Ridge and within an hour’s drive you will find yourself at the mystical Fairy Pools where you may be lucky enough to wild swim! The village of Uig (pronounced "Oo-ig"), at the northern tip of Skye, rests on the shores of Loch Snizort, Skye’s largest sea loch off the Atlantic. The village boasts two pubs, two shops, a hotel, a filling station and cafe, as well as two other businesses well-worth a visit. Uig Pottery sells a range of high quality pottery produced on-site, while the Skye Brewery sells its own superb real ales from the brewery shop. Sheltered by high cliffs, the bay is one of the most beautiful in Skye, and is home to the ferry terminal for the Outer Hebrides. Wildlife in the area includes golden eagles, sea eagles, pilot whales, seals and dolphins. The attractions of the Isle, including the main town of Portree, are all within easy reach of this tranquil base.

Arrived to homemaking,& other extras! Owners very friendly, there if you need them! Not too far from portree, & there is a forest right next to Cottage, to walk dog! Highly recommended

The lefthand turning into the drive is just before the main entrance to the Kingsburgh community forest on the right. If you reach the bridge over the river Hinnisdal, youâve just passed the property. There is plenty of parking by the property. The cottage is comfortable, clean, cosy and warm. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need including a tea towel, hand towel, dish cloth, pan scrubber and oven gloves. The fridge and freezer are under the counter size. The owners provide a nice welcome pack which includes some home baking of delicious scones, rock cakes etc. There are dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, washing-up liquid, hand wash, tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls and shower gel provided. There is plenty of hot water. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower in the room we used. It was so restful going to sleep listening to the river. The bedding is good quality and lovely soft towels. The friendly owners next door quickly sorted out a couple of small problems we had. We were lucky to have some lovely weather whilst on Skye to explore the island. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at this lovely property and would recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday on Skye.

We found the cottage to be one of the most well equipped and well furnished that we've stayed in. It is ideally situated to explore the north and west of the island and with views of the nearby sea loch to admire when you wake up staying here felt a real privilege!
