83 Seatown is a two-storey detached fishermans cottage, once a bakery for the Seatown of Cullen, situated close to the harbour, beach and town centre. A delightful place to bring family or friends, this cottage provides two floors of character and charm, inviting you inside via an entrance hallway. The dining room is brought to life by a stone feature wall housing a woodburning stove, with a contemporary dining table centring the layout. Dual-aspect windows draw in the daylight, shifting the mood of the room from morning to evening. The kitchen lies two steps down, with a collection of appliances and marble-effect counter-tops forming a quality setup, ideal for hearty breakfasts, pancakes straight from the stove, or late-night snacks shared over quiet conversation.
The sitting room awaits with its leather sofas, feature fireplace and floor lighting which projects a warm glow, a space to unwind as the fire crackles and the evening settles in. A family bathroom includes a bath, shower, and a hand-held shower, perfect for quick rinses or long soaks after a day outdoors. Three bedrooms are beautifully presented. A double room is located on the ground floor, coordinated with bedside tables and neutral décor, offering a restful space to pause and recharge. Two further bedrooms are situated upstairs, both charmingly tucked away beneath sloping ceilings and exposed beams. A Velux window welcomes in natural light, casting soft patterns across the walls as the hours pass.
Tucked along the Moray Firth lies Cullen, a town full of character and coastal charm, split into two distinct parts: Seatown, is the original fishing village, and the newer inland town referred to as New Cullen. Cullen is one of the world’s outstanding coastlines, not just for its natural beauty with plentiful wildlife, dolphins, seals, puffins and other seabirds in abundance. Begin your day with a coffee from The Kings, the perfect prelude to a beachcombing stroll or a bracing dog walk along the wide, sandy shore. From here, the town unfolds in layers: the quirky, close-knit cottages of Seatown sit almost back-to-back, their patchwork walls and colourful details gives the area a playful, lived-in feel.
Narrow lanes twist between them, creating a maze of hidden corners and unexpected views, all cleverly sheltered from the sea winds during wilder weather. It’s a place that feels both tucked away and open to adventure. With easy access to the beach, the Moray Coastal Trail, and a scenic golf course, Cullen invites you to explore at your own pace. After a dip in the invigorating North Sea, warm up in the local sauna, or head to the pub at the end of the street for a well-earned drink. Whether you're wandering the old railway path above town or simply soaking in the atmosphere from a bench by the harbour, Cullen offers a little bit of everything—wrapped in a setting that feels both timeless and full of life.
Retaining lots of original features, 83 Seatown is a wonderful cottage to make you feel right at home.
Modern Cullen comprises the fishing village of Seatown and an ‘inland’ area, which stretches up an imposing main street from Seatown, underneath a spectacular viaduct. Although the wealth of Cullen was built on textiles in the 18th century, the town is best known for its fishing heritage. Visitors can enjoy Cullen’s lovely sandy beach, the famous Ice Cream Shop, and a fine selection of shops and restaurants.

It was warm, cosy and perfect for all of our needs. Being double length, it also just had that feeling of having a lot of space. The dining room for daytime and then the living room for evening use. Both areas having log burning fires was a great touch and certainly kept the heat. Of note also was a very good and hot shower. You are a minute away from one of the most picturesque beaches in Scotland and when the tide is out, great for that walk. Shops decent and close enough, and a few pubs. There was also a welcome pack including a couple of beers, a bottle of bubbles and our host, Debbie, felt at hand. She checked with us on arrival that all was ok and also made contact during our stay to see if we needed anything. We could not have asked for more and I wouldnât hesitate to stay here again. Thank you.
