Sea Yonder sleeping up to 6 guests

Situated right on the edge of the sea with amazing views, Sea Yonder occupies a breathtaking position in the Highlands of Scotland.
Sea Yonder is in a simply breathtaking position. It’s quaint external appearance belies the dramatic interior. Step inside the front door with its original stained glass panel into the light and airy living room with its patio doors opening onto the uninterrupted vista of the sea beyond the sitting out area and decking with hot tub. What a room to sit and soak up the stunning, ever changing sea level view, and watching the wildlife drift past, from bottlenose dolphins and grey seals to the myriad of birdlife. Enjoy a convivial drink or relax in the private hot tub under the stars. The conservatory also has a double bed, and again, this is a marvellous room to watch the sun rise over the sea in the early summer mornings. The well fitted kitchen/dining room has an Aga and lots of character, while the other bedroom on the ground floor has wonderful views over the seascape. A loft ladder takes you up to a low ceilinged bedroom, accessed from the hallway.
The cottage is just a short walk from the town’s amenities including shops, restaurants, swimming pool and fitness centre; while further along the coast, pretty fishing villages are set against dramatic rocky outcrops or stunning golden sands. Other activities locally include fishing, sailing and diving. Whisky and castle trails are on the doorstep and a boat trip to see the dolphins and seals is a must. Wonderful clifftop walks studded with caves from Findochty to Portknockie and Cullen are almost on the doorstep and there are some very good golf courses within a very short drive of the town, including Buckpool on the west and Strathlene to the east. View the stunning Bow Fiddle Rock near the village of Portknockie or stroll along some of the amazing beaches which make up this glorious coastline. Plenty of other wildlife can be observed at the mouth of Spey Bay, just a few miles west, including otters and ospreys and a stretch of the Speyside Way (a long distance footpath) runs from here to Buckie, providing good walking opportunities either way. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

"Wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. Liz and Mark were very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The fire had been made up ready for our arrival and the seasonal welcome pack waiting for us was a thoughtful touch. The hot tub is a bonus to an already great place. All essentials are provided and overall we couldn't fault our stay. Would definitely return."

"lovely cottage with beautiful sea views"
    Angelina – 12 Nov 2018
"Would go to the location again but not that cottage. I didn't think it was dog friendly at all and quite dusty in places we never received a welcome pack like other guests had. Most received flowers and prosecco we didn't even have heating for a day and a half. Very disappointed to be honest my opinion is the selling point in the view which was faultless"

"We had the most amazing and relaxing week here. It was nothing short of perfect. Location and weather fabulous. The cottage has everything you would need and spotless . Loved the view from cottage and being right at edge of sea was brilliant . The town of buckie is lovely and the people very friendly . Did not want to come home. Will definitely be going back ."
    Glyn – 10 May 2018
"Great location for spotting sealife. We saw dolphins, seals and whales from the conservatory. Not much happening in the town though. Tesco is easy to find. Two bathrooms and two big bedrooms with a smaller room for little people. Hot tub outside."
    ANTHONY – 10 May 2018
"A lovely quiet retreat with beautiful sea views,Everything you need is their and even got a phone call on the way up to say the hot tub was turned on for our arrival.Enjoyed it that much we have already booked again for next year,"
    Donna – 22 Apr 2018
"Amazing views peaceful well equipped things to do nearby only thing was no seats in the hot tub not the end of the world though but would stay again"
    Barbara – 20 Apr 2018
"Fantastic cottage, much bigger than it appears. Owners very accommodating and friendly. We had the most relaxing, enjoyable couple of days here, only wish it could have been longer. Kids (11 & 8 yrs) liked it so much they refused to leave to go eat out and the PS4 the oldest had brought with him didn't ever leave his bag. The cottage has uninterrupted views out to sea which provides an ever changing vista and we were blessed with good weather so enjoyed beautiful sunrise/sunsets. Lots of wildlife also.We will definitely return and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a place to escape to."
    Julie – 14 Apr 2018
"Sea Yonder was a little bit of heaven - what a beautiful setting so tranquil a place to truly relax. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and the view of the sea was amazing. The hot tub was an excellent place to relax in and enjoy at any time of the day. There are lots of little sea/harbour locations to visit; Portsoy was really beautiful and locked in the past, Portknockie where the fiddle and bow rock formation was, Cullen is also worth a visit. The rockpool cafe was definitely worth a visit but best 2 book in advance as most tables are reserved. Opposite the cafe is a beautiful gift shop and the lady serving us was just lovely. The Pozzi cafe in Buckie served a good lunch but the hotel further up the road was very disappointing and food not great😣.. it would make it better if Buckie itself had more good eating places. The Highland Widlife Park is also worth a visit we even got a small glimpse of baby polar bear with mum."
