This is the perfect family location sleeping four guests comfortably in the coastal town of Portknockie which is located in the stunning North-east of Scotland. The property has a very cosy kitchen-dining area sitting room and is beautifully furnished and finished after a full renovation. It has a relaxed sea-side feel which is ideal for friends or family who want the perfect get away to recharge. There is no back entrance to the back garden, access to the garden is via the front of the property by going around to a gate
Portknockie is a great place for walkers and those who love to take in the local scenery. The neighbouring village of Cullen, about 2 miles away, is very much worth a visit. The local delicacy of cullen skink (a thick soup made with smoked haddock, potatoes and onions) is very historical and a great dish to try. You can take a boat trip on the Gemini Explorer to search for dolphins in the Moray Firth from Buckie, a working fishing town about 4 miles away. Or, further afield at Spey Bay, you will find the popular Scottish Dolphin Centre and Nature Reserve. The famous Speyside Whisky Trail is also within easy reach and should not be missed.

We had a lovely week in this very well appointed, comfortable cottage. It is well situated for the many lovely places along the Moray coast. Portknockie is a lovely village and there is a short walk to Bow Fiddle Rock for dramatic photos, and then if you want to go further, Cullen is only a mile along the coast which makes a great walk.

The house was immaculate and cosy. It was very homely and had everything you would need.the welcome pack was amazing and the best we’ve ever had. We would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

Just back from a wonderful week in Portknockie Escape. It’s a little gem of a cottage, beautifully decorated, superbly equipped and very warm and welcoming thanks to lovely owners Paul and Mark. Portknockie is a great base for exploring the Moray coast with easy clifftop and beach walks right from the door and fish and chips from the village shop were the best ever.
