The electricity is run by electricity meter feed by one pound coins as advertised; however, to try to keep the house tempid, you require LOTS of pound coins. My wife and I sleeped with extra clothes on and in the morning the bed was damp. Signs of damp is throughout the lodge. My wife and I started to suffer with our chests, so much so that on day 3 we stayed in a hotel then left the Isle on day 4. Total terrible experience, one never to be repeated.

Badly insulated, oppressive decor and not easily accessed by anyone with mobility issues. Access after 16:00 in Scotland in November means in the dark. Poor lighting slippery steps and a missing top step. More of an endurance test than a retreat. Not the kind of " chill out" I wanted. We left one day early..
