Highview is a well-liked cottage in Brodick, praised for its stunning views, ideal location, and spaciousness. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the property's proximity to local shops and Goatfell. While some cleanliness and maintenance issues were reported, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness scores are mixed. Some guests found the property clean upon arrival, while others reported issues with bedding and general cleanliness. The presence of both positive and negative comments leads to a slightly above-average score.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to shops, the port, and Goatfell, as well as for offering beautiful views. It is considered ideal by guests, warranting a high score.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with ample space and a warm atmosphere. However, some issues with furniture and a lack of cutlery slightly affect the comfort level.
Facilities are generally good, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as problematic showers, door handles, and a non-functioning tumble dryer. The well-stocked kitchen is a plus, but the need for more cutlery and dishes is noted.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches from the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

One of the most southerly of the Scottish Isles, Arran encapsulates the grandeur and majesty of Scotland but all packaged within an accessible area 19 miles long by 10 miles wide.
The island has a number of pretty villages on Arran’s stunning coastline which are contrasted by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north. For outdoor lovers, Arran offers mountain biking, paragliding, canyoning, sea kayaking, scrambling and more; you can even book an island safari! The Isle of Arran is a place where you can find a little bit of everything you’d ever want from a Scottish island; an ever-changing coastline, dramatic mountain peaks, sheltered beaches, verdant forests, great cultural festivals and a wealth of tasty local produce.
A holiday on Arran packs in a lot of flavour - taste your way around the island as you try creamy cheeses, refreshing beers, traditional oatcakes, tempting chocolates and delicious ice cream. Book a tour at the Arran Distillery to discover the secrets behind the distilling process before sampling a dram of malt whisky or the creamy liqueur Arran Gold. For a unique experience, take a small ferry over to the Holy Isle and you will discover a friendly Buddhist community, where animals roam freely, including Saanen goats and Eriskay ponies. Lamlash Bay also offers sea kayaking and powerboat trips, so you can explore the bay at your own pace. This is a natural paradise with sightings of red squirrels, golden eagles, red deer, otters and seals.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. The house is well equipped and the views are stunning! Highly recommend.

The house is spacious, clean and warm and there are wonderful views of Brodick, the bay, and the hills from the windows. It is easy to walk into the centre of Brodick in about 5 mins from the house, although it is uphill on the way back. All went smoothly for us and we had no isue - just enjoyed Arran.

We enjoyed the stay at the Highview - the views, the cleanliness, and the location was ideal for a multiple day visit to Isle of Aaron. The lodging was great for two couples and relaxing.
