Guests say

Kinneil Land is highly praised for its stunning location, spacious layout, and proximity to local amenities such as the Drift Inn and the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, beautiful views, and suitability for families and pets. While most found the property clean and comfortable, some noted minor maintenance issues, occasional lapses in cleanliness, and a lack of welcome touches. Communication and information packs could be improved, but overall, guests enjoyed their stays and many expressed a desire to return.

Most guests found the property clean and tidy, though a few mentioned issues such as slugs, leftover dishwasher contents, and some furnishings needing renewal. Cleanliness was generally good but not consistently excellent.

The location is universally praised for its stunning views, peaceful setting, and easy access to walks, the beach, and local amenities. The proximity to the Drift Inn and village shops is a major highlight.

Guests found the cottage spacious and generally comfortable, but some mentioned firm beds, uncomfortable sofas, and low settees. The property is suitable for families and those with mobility needs, though a few improvements could enhance comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but some maintenance issues were noted, such as broken windows, missing oven trays, and temperamental appliances. Heating instructions and information packs could be clearer and more up to date.

Several guests noted the absence of a welcome pack or basic provisions like milk on arrival. While some UK holiday cottages offer such touches, they are not guaranteed at this property.

Absolutely loved our stay in the cottage and we're already thinking about rebooking sometime next year. The cottage has a modern feel, is spacious, airy and bright. The location is superb and we also got lucky with the weather.

This property has is a stunning location. However, better management of the cottage is desirable. Unlike most holiday cottages there is no welcome pack, and no milk for a cup of tea on arrival. The second bedroom has a permanently steamed up window which obscures the stunning view. There are no baking trays for the oven. The sofas are not very comfortable. The dishwasher is temperamental (and was left half full from the previous user). While the Cottage info. states that the dishwasher manual is left in a drawer it’s not there or anywhere else. The Information on refuse disposal days is contradictory. Unusually, there’s no owner or cleaner for a customer to contact and ask questions. The information pack and notices look as though they have not been updated since covid and the Wi-Fi number is wrong. Being directly managed by Cottages.com is unusual and it means that it’s difficult to speak to anyone outside office hours. However, it really does have a stunning location and it makes a great base to explore the island. It would be so much more welcoming and relaxing if the information pack etc. was updated and the cottage was more effectively managed.
