Tanglewood is one of the best holiday houses we've ever stayed at. It's a beautiful, well-equipped, comfortable house with a lovely garden and an upstairs sitting-room that has an absolutely stupendous view. It's in a great location. Within a ten-minute walk are King's Cross Point (a fabulous, serene view over Holy Isle) and Whiting Bay (a great beach for kids). We loved our holiday at Tanglewood and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely break on Arran in Tanglewood. The house had spectacular views from the upstairs sitting room and access to the shoreline was a 5 minute walk away. The beds were comfortable and the area was very quiet. Touring and activities are a short drive away and the local pub-restaurants are all great.

The cottage is well placed for the eastern side of the island and has plenty of room for a large family. It is very peaceful and even quiet inside when it is very stormy outside. The kitchen is very well equipped but there could be a review of some of the cupboards as there is quite a lot of clutter - I’ve never seen so many wine glasses and tumblers! Well equipped is important but…some of the surfaces and crockery was also not pristine clean and needed a wash before use. Minor issues overall but for the price it wasn’t as immaculate as others we’ve stayed in nearby.
