Named after the seven seasons it took the family to lovingly build the property back in the late 80’s, a time when houses were built with a practical and useful layout and generously sized rooms. The property itself comfortably sleeps six in the three bedrooms, one super king size, one king size and one twin. The living room which opens through to the dining room is the ideal social space, complimented by a large TV and wood burner for those chilly days. Family feasts for any occasion can be easily prepared in the kitchen, and the utility room at the rear is great for returning with muddy boots or wet dogs. The bathroom has a four-piece suite with separate shower and bath. Outside there is the garden which is surrounded by fields, here guests can enjoy looking at the horses and when it’s lambing time cute little lambs; don’t be surprised to see the odd one wandering round the garden either, it is located on a farm after all.

Just minutes from the main ’east to west’ motorway, the M8 making the centres of both Glasgow and Edinburgh accessible by car in less than an hour and as mentioned the rest of Scotland by main roads. Seven Seasons was wonderful, everything you could need was there and was a lovely and clean property. Agnes was so helpful and welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. It’s a great location to get around most popular places with good amenities nearby.

Lovely cottage and owner. Only gripe is that the heating seemed to switch itself on and off, so it was not very warm during our two-night stay. As we didn't spend much time at the cottage it wasn't a great concern, but if we were there longer would probably have asked Mrs Hadden if the presets could be changed. But otherwise an enjoyable stay.(9th-11th Feb 2026)
