Guests say

Guests have praised 8 Cathedral Street for its prime location in Dunkeld, cleanliness, and comfort. The property offers stunning views of the River Tay and is well-situated for local amenities and scenic walks. While some guests mentioned issues with noise from neighbours and limited parking, the overall experience is reported to be very positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the property to be extremely clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted instances of dog hair and a smelly vacuum cleaner, slightly affecting the overall impression of cleanliness.

The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to local shops, pubs, and the River Tay. Guests appreciate the central location and the convenience it offers for exploring Dunkeld and the surrounding Perthshire area.

Guests have described the property as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a homely atmosphere. The presence of noise from upstairs neighbours was a concern for some, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The property is well-equipped with necessary amenities and some guests were pleased with the welcoming gifts. However, comments about the lack of a freezer, dishwasher, and maintenance issues like a broken fridge shelf and squeaky doors suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Several guests were delighted by the welcoming gifts, which added a personal touch to their stay. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such gestures are a bonus and may not be a consistent offering for every stay.

Flat is quite dark but it was the middle of October. Lounge is small but cosy. Bedrooms very big. Flat has everything you need. Garden at rear with seating looking down to the river, lovely for a morning coffee. Great walks around area.

Could do with a freezer and perhaps a couple of loungers for the garden.

57pm, the cleaner was still making up the beds and asked us to go away and come back in 30 mins. I wasn't impressed with this. I had my 80-year-old mother with me, and it was cold and raining. We used the bathroom, and it was evident that it still had to be cleaned too. She apologised and said she'd only just arrived and was running late. We came back 30 mins later, and she was gone - not sure how she managed a proper clean in that time.... I stayed here last year and had a great time. This year, we had people above us, which was awful. Every step generates a loud sqweak, and we could hear the conversation above us. Definitely spoilt our stay. Inside property is looking tired. Huge piece of paint has come off bathroom window, grout on floor tiles is dirty and stained, rust marks over radiator- all make it a bit tired. Inside door of the fridge is broken, and further use in this state will make the shelf unusable. On entering the twin room, the bedside lamp on left side as you look in to the room isn't working. Kitchen and livingroom clocks not working - need batteries replaced. The rug in the livingroom in front of the fire is grubby. All wall hangings and light fittings need dusted. The srench coming from the hoover is awful. On arrival I needed to hoover the whole property as there was debris on the floors and i used floor wipes to clean mud marks up. Shouldn't have to do this on arrival.
