At the heart of the home is a bright and sociable open-plan living space where floor-to-ceiling glazing and dual-aspect doors open onto the surrounding terraces; On sunny days the doors can be fully opened, allowing fresh Highland air to fill the room creating a seamless connection with the woodland setting. The stylish kitchen features premium appliances and a striking island, perfect for easy, sociable cooking and gathering with friends or family; After a day exploring the area, settle into the comfortable seating areas beside the softly glowing fireplace and striking media wall, perfect for relaxed evenings in or enjoy long, unhurried meals together around the dining table.

Killiecrankie is a charming Highland area set on the banks of the River Garry, famed for its dramatic scenery and walking routes; From the house, guests can walk to the visitor centre and café, where there is a small exhibition on the Battle of Killiecrankie, along with a gift shop. From here, walking paths lead on to the Pass of Killiecrankie and Soldier’s Leap; Next to the visitor centre is the base for the Highland Fling Bungee Zip Wire Park, offering bungee jumping, swing and zip line experiences for the more adventurous; From the house itself, guests can also access walking routes towards Ben Vrackie, making for a rewarding climb directly from the doorstep.

A picturesque Victorian burgh in the area of Perth and Kinross, Pitlochry has been a popular tourist destination since the visit of Queen Victoria back in 1842. An area renowned for its outdoor activities, the town is surrounded by the Ben Vrackie and Schiehallion mountains, excellent for hillwalking, there is also the stunning River Tummel with its scenic dam and boat hire available, alternatively you can watch on with a warm coffee in the Boating Station Café. Pitlochry also has a golf course and the Tay Forest Park to keep you busy, the dramatic Cairngorms National Park also comes nearby for some serious walking and cycling. The town hosts festivals and is home to a number of different shops and restaurants to enjoy. With the Blair Athol Distillery also available, this town has something for everybody. The astonishing city of Perth makes for a wonderful day trip with its incredible architecture, wide range of amenities and other activities such as its museum and art gallery. A fabulous area of Scotland with much to do.

    This house is designed with the most beautiful intention. Your stay will leave you well rested and like you have just had a week at a 5 star day spa. Heilan Roo is impeccably clean and the owner’s attention to detail is really to be admired. You will enjoy every minute in this stunning home and to be honest it’s really hard to leave.
