Courtyard cottage is stunning and the views are exceptional. Duns and Coldstream are both under 20 mins away with some excellent takeaway options and the coop in Duns pretty much covered any essentials we required. The cottage itself with its games room, tennis court (never used it but certainly a plus for those who enjoy) and massive enclosed field with orchard were a big plus. Our host Jane even has her own vegetable patch which we were told we could help ourselves too. My wife says the lettuce and Celery were delicious. Only slight negatives were that advertised as dog friendly, which to a point it is, but dogs not allowed in bedrooms or on furnishings. This was slightly challenging for us and our dog as she is used to being able to go where she pleases. She has now learned a new discipline. The other negative is the strength of the Wi-Fi. Unable to use to stream. I always take my fire stick on holiday and had to rely on my phone as a hotspot which again was not ideal. However I made it work. Overall no hesitation what so ever in recommending and have already done so to various family and friends.

We have holidayed in the Borders for many years in many different cottages and this one is among the very best.
