Guests consistently praise Near Bank Cottage for its idyllic location, cosy comfort, and well-maintained facilities. The enclosed garden is a highlight, offering a peaceful retreat with wildlife sightings. The cottage's proximity to nature trails and scenic walks, alongside its well-equipped amenities, contribute to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Reviews frequently mention the cottage's spotless condition and cleanliness, indicating meticulous upkeep. The only minor detractor was a mention of bed linen not being ironed, which seems an exception rather than the norm.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to nature reserves, and scenic coastal walks. Guests appreciate the wildlife and the balance between seclusion and accessibility to nearby villages and attractions.
The cottage is repeatedly described as cosy and comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and comfortable beds. Some guests found the cottage a bit cramped for larger groups, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the addition of WiFi and TV. However, some guests noted issues with towel provision and WiFi speed, suggesting room for improvement.
While guests are delighted with the overall experience and mention various amenities, there is no specific reference to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Near Bank is a lovely comfortable cottage and it is very peaceful. Situated close to the nature reserve we saw lots of wildlife, including deer, hares, bats, squirrel and a variety of birds including a woodpecker. It is within easy reach of Eyemouth, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Lindisfarne. The cottage is well equipped and very well looked after.

The open fire is a draw for some people. The electric storage heaters provided background warmth if the fire was not used. Bed was comfortable. The cottage was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. We had a wonderful holiday watching the deer and the birds in the area. We would rebook but the cottage is fully booked up for our times next year.

Such a quaint old world place ,it reminded me of my grandparents home more than 50 years ago. With all the mod cons that we would need, also really quiet and dark at night. The garden was a lovely place to relax with a coffee and cake, watching and listening to the many birds. Al made himself available to us if we had any issues, of which there were none. Hopefully we shall return in the near future,.
