Guests say

Craik Forestry Cottage is a cosy and comfortable retreat nestled in a stunning, peaceful location with breathtaking views and forest walks. Guests have enjoyed the enclosed garden, especially those with dogs, and found the cottage well-equipped for a relaxing break, despite some minor maintenance issues.

Most guests found the cottage comfortable, but there were mentions of dust, cobwebs, and a few cleanliness oversights. These did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

The cottage's remote setting offers beautiful scenery and direct access to Craik Forest, which is highly praised. However, the distance from shops and main roads was a minor inconvenience for some.

Guests consistently noted the cottage's cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and warm environment, contributing to a restful and enjoyable stay.

The cottage is appreciated for its amenities, including a washing machine and tumble dryer. Some guests noted small maintenance issues like a broken grill handle and an oven door that opens on its own.

While guests were content with the facilities, there was no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

What a hidden gem. The road in is fabulous. You aren’t totally isolated which is good. There’s everything you need at the cottage. We absolutely loved our time there.
