Excellent accommodation in a fairly remote location, taking 20 to 30 minutes to get to the nearest town, Hawick or indeed main road. For trips out that added around an hours driving for days out. On the other hand, a fantastically peaceful location if you want to get away from it all. Good for dog walking. The cottage was excellent and the only small moan is that it would have been nice to have a dishwasher.Would definitely consider going back again.

We loved the cottage! Had a beautiful fully fenced garden (full of swallows and butterflies), really well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and cosy living room. The shower was amazing! It is quite remote but if you don’t mind the 20mins drive into Hawick which has all you need, you are rewarded with absolutely tranquility and peace to return back to. We were walking Borders Abbeys Way and the cottage was like a warm hug on our return each day. Certain small things require some TLC but overall we would recommend this cottage .
