About this property

Hill View Studio is a second-floor studio apartment nestled in Hawick, Roxburghshire. Suited to a couple, friends or a small family, this beautiful property is near a river and Northumberland National Park. Park nearby and make your way to Hill View Studio. Climb the stairs to reach this second-floor retreat, where a practical studio-style layout provides a convenient base for exploring the Scottish Borders. Step inside and settle into the open-plan living area, where views stretch across Hawick's rooftops and surrounding landscape, creating a pleasant backdrop to your stay. Begin the day with a fresh coffee before planning your adventures ahead.

Store local produce in the fridge, prepare breakfast using the oven and hob, or return later to rustle up an evening meal after a day spent exploring. Gather around the dining table to enjoy food together or map out tomorrow's plans. When it is time to slow the pace, settle onto the sofa or one of the armchairs and switch on the Smart TV for a relaxed evening indoors. Patterned wallpaper adds character to the studio, where the doublesize bed and single bed sit within the open-plan layout, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for couples, friends, or a small family sharing the space.

The shower with stylish pattered floor tiles features a walk-in shower, offering a space to refresh and start the morning. After muddy countryside outings, make use of the washing machine and tumble dryer to freshen up outdoor clothing ready for the next excursion. Outside, guests have access to a shared enclosed garden, reached via the basement, where you can enjoy a little fresh air with a morning coffee or evening drink. With shops, pubs, and everyday conveniences close by, everything you need is within easy reach throughout your stay, and the nearby river invites peaceful walks with your dogs as the water gently flows beside you.

Explore Northumberland National Park, where rolling hills, scenic walking routes, and some of the darkest skies in the country create unforgettable days outdoors. Visit Melrose Abbey and admire its striking stonework, discover the final resting place of Robert the Bruce's heart, and wander through centuries of Scottish history. Step inside Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum to uncover fascinating prison stories, explore recreated cells and exhibitions, and enjoy views across the historic Borders town. Discover the Scottish Borders from Hill View Studio.

One of the Scottish Border towns and winner of many national floral awards, Hawick is a wonderful location for enjoying a break. Along with the rich history of the town and area which dates back to the 12th century, the town is internationally famous for its fine quality knitwear, and is home to a fantastic collection of shops selling both knitwear and cashmere. It is part of the TextileTrail thanks to the Borders Textile Townhouse where you can learn all about the industry within a restored 16th century tower house. Over in the Hawick Museum and Scott Gallery, you can wander around the exhibits detailing the town's history and marvel at the art, before taking a stroll through Wilton Lodge Park which rests on the banks of the River Teviot and providing 107-acres of grounds to roam. Within the town you can find a leisure centre, pubs, shops and a great selection of restaurants, from fine dining to cheap and cheerful. Hawick is a fantastic base from which to explore other neighbouring towns, such as Jedburgh, Selkirk, and Tweedbank.
