We really enjoyed our stay at Lower Canterbury House. It was spotlessly clean, very cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. The quality of the finish and all the fixtures and fitting is of an extremely high standard. The location is very quiet and peaceful but it is only a short walk in to Melrose using the bridge over the Tweed (about a mile each way), where there are some nice shops and plenty of places to eat out. We also found it an easy walk to Abbotsford House (just over 2 miles each way). The communication from Catherine and Peter was excellent and they were very responsiveHighly recommended !

We had a wonderful stay in Catherine and Peter's beautiful cottage. They've paid so much attention to every detail to make your stay so comfortable in every way. We've stayed in many cottages over the years and this is by far the best. Beautiful garden to relax in and we loved the summerhouse. Thank you so much for the lovely welcome pack, full of lovely surprises, and the wine went down a treat. Also the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Too many nice things to mention. Highly recommend and thank you both once again for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. Hopefully we will return.
