Guests say

Island View is a well-received cottage in Ayr with stunning views and spacious, comfortable rooms. Guests have praised the local pub, friendly atmosphere, and additional touches like a hot tub and sauna. While there were some issues with the hot tub and noise from nearby workmen, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests planning return visits.

The property is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with guests noting its spotless condition. There is no mention of any cleanliness issues, suggesting high standards are maintained.

The location is highly praised for its mesmerising views and tranquil setting. The proximity to local amenities, such as the pub and cafe, and the ease of access to Ayr town via bus, contribute to its high rating.

Guests find the house very comfortable, with spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, and a cosy atmosphere. The large garden and various amenities add to the comfort level, although there is no specific mention of temperature control or similar aspects.

The facilities, including a hot tub, sauna, and cinema room, are generally appreciated, but there were issues with the hot tub not working and some TVs malfunctioning. These incidents suggest room for improvement in maintenance.

While guests have mentioned a welcome bottle of fizz and chocolates, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts are a standard offering for all guests.

A return visit. We walked in and immediately felt at home. We indulged ourselves with laziness watching the sea whilst gathering energy for a trip to the hot tub. A real break from everything.
