About this property

Nestled within the dishing village of Maidens, South Ayrshire is The Smithy Seaside Cottage, a fabulous, three-bedroom home. Enjoying both countryside and coastal views, whilst offering pet-friendly accommodation, flexible sleeping arrangements, and a convenient location near local amenities, the home makes a wonderful base for a family break, inviting six guests and a furry companion. Park up off-road before travelling through the enclosed front garden and into the suntrap conservatory. Step inside to be greeted by the spacious living/dining room, traditionally styled with plush seating, a wall-mounted TV, and dining for six. The kitchen is fully-equipped to ease your self-catered stay, also including a coffee machine, a washing machine and a dishwasher for convenience. Enjoy meals indoors or step outside to light the barbecue and set the table, whilst your four-legged companion securely roams the lawn. As sleep calls, catch some rest in one of three bedrooms, all well-positioned and complete with TVs, including a double, a twin, and a ground-floor double. The bathroom is set on the ground floor, ideal for those with limited mobility. Awaken to a fresh coffee in the conservatory, with harbour views in the backdrop, before heading to explore the village, stocking up on the essentials at the post office, or dining out at Ropes Bistro. Travel by foot to Maidens Beach, following the walking trail down to Turnberry Lighthouse, or head north to Swan Pond, the pretty grounds of Culzean Castle, and its walled garden, Culzean Beach, and Adventure Cove & Wild Woodland, ideal for all the family. For further amenities, travel to Maybole, along with the chance to tour Maybole Castle, or remain shoreside upon Girvan Beach, with Girvan Golf Course nearby for avid golfers. Escape to South Ayrshire at The Smithy Seaside Cottage

This fishing community located at the south end of Maidenhead Bay on the Ayrshire coast and faces out to sea with views of Arran and Ailsa Craig and the distant Mull of Kintyre. After his experience with the spider in the early 14th century, Robert the Bruce is said to have sailed from Rathlin Island in Northern Ireland and landed here. Turnberry Castle, which is now a ruin, served as the ancestral home of the Earls of Carrick. Nowadays Maidens is a popular place for visitors with its mediaeval harbour, spacious beach, a couple of eateries and its close vicinity to Turnberry and the majestic Culzean Castle.
