Honesty Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location close to the beach. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, pet-friendly garden, and the peaceful environment. The welcoming community and responsive owners add to the positive experience, although there are occasional mentions of minor maintenance issues.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests noting its spotless condition. Only one review mentioned a dirty headrest, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the beach and quiet setting. The scenic south west coast of Scotland and local amenities are appreciated by guests.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, particularly highlighting the beds and spaciousness. There are a few mentions of soft and uncomfortable lounge seating, but overall, comfort is rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and enclosed garden. However, some guests noted issues with shower controls, heating, and a lack of certain amenities like a tumble dryer, which affects the score.
While some guests mention a welcome pack and homemade treats, there are not enough references to consistently assess the level of thoughtfulness across all reviews. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Very quiet location in our favourite holiday village. We have no hesitation in recommending Honesty Cottage

The bathroom is in need of a much larger wash basin which could be fitted without major problems. The present one makes wet shaving awkward. The provision of a tumble dryer especially for families in wet weather is a necessity. Health advice:- The hot water is dangerously HOT and its temperature needs reducing. A safety high vis strip should be fitted to the raised runner between the dining room and the kitchen. I tripped on it a few times.

The weather was not suitable for sitting in the garden during our visit but it was another quiet place we could have enjoyed on a summer evening
