About this property

Turnberry is a lovely, spacious lodge tucked into the countryside on Brunston Holiday Park near Dailly, Dumfries and Galloway, with designated parking for one car and enclosed decking ideal for enjoying the fresh air. This two-storey retreat offers a well-considered layout for families or groups, combining practical features with a scenic setting. Inside, the reverse-level design draws in natural light and enhances the sense of space. Stone finishes shape the interior, where the ground floor hosts a double bedroom and a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC. Upstairs, a twin and double bedroom sits beside a generous living room, complete with a flatscreen TV, DVD player, and a selection of board games.

A sofa bed in the sitting area adds flexibility for larger groups. The open-plan kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking, with a ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, integrated fridge and freezer, and dishwasher. Meals can be enjoyed in the adjacent dining area, which invites guests to gather and reflect on the day’s adventures. After exploring nearby nature trails or trying the on-site mini-golf, the enclosed decking offers a peaceful spot to unwind, while the lounge provides space to relax with a film. Whether you’re travelling with family or friends, Turnberry presents a scenic and practical base for discovering the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway.

With its thoughtful layout, countryside location, and group-friendly design, Turnberry is a lodge that brings together nature and convenience in one inviting setting.

Located on the Water of Girvan in South Ayrshire, Dailly, or ‘New Dailly’ to distinguish it from ‘Old Dailly’, was developed in the mid 18th-century as a coal mining village. The ruins of the Robert Adam-designed Dalquharran Castle stand on a hill overlooking the village. The ruined church at Old Dailly dates from pre-Reformation times, and houses the mysterious Blue Stones; thought to be Charter Stones, ancient symbols granted to an area in place of a written charter, several legends have grown up around them. One holds they were Sanctuary Stones and would protect anyone sitting against them, and another belief is that their mystical powers would bring good fortune to anyone touching them. The village of Dailly today has a pub, shop and post office and the series of Dailly Trails make for ideal walking, forming part of the Carrick Way. Dailly’s proximity to the Ayrshire coast makes it an ideal venue for exploring the many golf courses, beaches and castles, including spectacular Culzean Castle, and with the Galloway Forest Park nearby and its many walks and cycle rides, this is a great location to use as a base for touring.
